His research group focuses on the development of quantum nanophotonic devices and experimental platforms for future sensing and information processing.

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of the founding schools of Nanyang Technological University and is internationally recognized for excellence in education and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools globally and was ranked 4th worldwide in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The group currently has openings for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. For further information, please contact positions@jclab.pro.

For PhD Applications

  1. We seek highly motivated and talented PhD candidates with strong backgrounds in applied physics, optics, electrical engineering, materials science, or related fields to join our research group.
  2. Applicants should meet the PhD admission requirements of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at NTU. English proficiency requirements follow NTU regulations. Please see the link above for details.
  3. Interested candidates are encouraged to send a CV, brief statement of research interests, contact information of at least two referees, and their bachelor degree transcript to positions@jclab.pro. Further application details will be provided upon contact. Please consider using the subject line format: "PhD Application – [Name, Affiliation, Key Background]".
  4. We are pleased to support suitable applicants in applying for relevant Singapore-based and international scholarships. For further information and guidance, please contact positions@jclab.pro.

For Postdoctoral Applications

  1. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers with strong experimental backgrounds in quantum photonics, applied physics, integrated photonic devices, optomechanics, or closely related areas.
  2. Candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree in the above-mentioned areas by the start of the appointment.
  3. Interested applicants are encouraged to send a CV, a brief statement of research interests, and contact information of at least two referees to positions@jclab.pro. Further details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
  4. In addition to Research Fellow positions funded by our group, we will support suitable candidates in preparing application materials for relevant postdoctoral fellowship programmes.

One more thing

In addition, if you have an ambitious experimental idea that you would like to pursue together with our group, please feel free to reach out to us. We are always interested in exploring novel and challenging experiments and are happy to support such efforts through state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities, advanced measurement infrastructure, and a highly motivated team.
